All is well in Florence. Used Uber for first time. The wait was far too long on my going to lunch. I walked back but then wanted a car to go to concert. The wait was so long that I ended up walking.
Luca had an illness in his family so it was just Stefano. Neither of us at a lot, and then the owner picked up the check.
The concert was outstanding. Florentine audiences are very sophisticated and appreciative l. That is why the artists love playing here. In addition to the program, there were four encores.
Ended up with 4500 steps which is an improvement over recent times. Got caught in the rain but survived

Congratulations to my trainer Dean Statler. He and his Wife had a healthy baby boy arrive on Friday. Dean comes to my house to train me. He has done it for a few friends at too fair a price, but is interested in doing more. He also has a gym but I have never been there.

Hard to believe but the House, still without a Speaker, went home for the weekend.
My money is now on Emmer.

I followed the first half of the Michigan game Michigan is ahead 28 to 0 at 3 a.m. my time so I am going back to bed. I still could not sleep so I watched the rest of a 49 to 0 thrashing.

At the same time, I followed the Phillies go ahead of the Diamondbacks 3 games to 2. More home runs and 7 great innings out of Wheeler. I cannot think of a sensical word that rhymes with Nola, and you youngsters will have no idea of what I am talking about. However, when I was a kid, “Spahn and Sain and pray for rain” was the key. These two great pitchers, and Spahn was truly one of the best ever, carried their team. That is what Wheeler and Nola are doing.

We are off to the brunch in a couple of hours. It is quite a long walk so I am not looking forward to it. I keep checking the weather ‘praying for rain” to borrow a phrase, but looks like I walk. The exercise is good for me, I understand that, but I am struggling. Unlike many places, it is impossible to flag down a taxi.

We only arrived late Thursday afternoon, but, so far, neither of us have had a drop of alcohol. There was a time when a bottle of wine or more was consumed at one meal, sometimes two. Things sure change.
