Yesterday started out badly when SCOTUS barred affirmative action in all college admissions. Interestingly, a poll showed that the majority of Americans disagree.
Ask yourselves this question : who likes this decision and why?

Worked a lot on the house yesterday, the deck, the painter, the roof. Stil trying to get the phones fixed and plumber having a problem installing a purchase.
One of the refrigerators we bought came in, but the merchant could not deliver until July 5.

Really great Marlin game. Swept three games in Fenway giving up a total of three runs in three games

Grandson Blake passed his driving test yesterday. That was not a “gimme”. This was a big hurdle for him. His Father Walter deserves a lot of credit for shepherding Blake through this process.

Anyone know anything about good hotels in Frankfurt, Germany.? Dolphins play Chiefs there on November 5 and I am willing to give up brunch at Four Seasons to attend game. Am I nuts for making these kind of plans at my age? I don’t think so. It is our intent to live one day at a time, and to keep enjoying our lives as long as we are lucky enough to do so.
All that kept me from Atlanta this weekend to see the Marlins play three games was that, with all our expenses we have on the horizon, there had to be a limit to my craziness.

Today I have a zoom call with my good friend and colleague Mike Kump. Mike is a splendid lawyer, and one of the nicest and most decent people I know. We first met when we worked together on the McCourt divorce case. We became good friends and have remained so. Mike has a law degree and a PhD in Philosophy both from Michigan. Not bad, right?

See you tomorrow. At least that is my plan.
