One of the wine merchants from whom I sometimes buy wine, sent me an ad for “the Pope’s favorite wine”. I responded asking if I had to be Catholic to buy it, but what does the Pope know about wine? I told him my Rabbi knew nothing about wine.
Of course, I have never seen a Rabbi bring a bottle on wine, other than Manichewitz, or pick up a check. In fact, there is an entire course in Rabbinical School on how never to pick up a check.

Yesterday, I watched some of the September 11 festivities, and could not help but thinking how far Rudy Giuliani has fallen. If he had not gone over to the dark side, he, as a hero on September 11 would have been a real big shot yesterday instead of a man now about broke, facing jail and already no longer allowed to practice law in at least two jurisdictions.

These are just the highlights. It get worse but you should have the idea. Moreover, most of the rest of the world’s leaders feel the same way.

How many thought the Jets would beat the Bills when Rogers went out after four plays. It was a very good game won in overtime by the Jets on a punt return. I am late posting this because I stayed up to watch the entire game.
